The past doesn’t equal the future.

This is a famous quote from motivational speaker tony robins. I like it so much; it has helped me a lot in my professional and romantic life.
The past doesn’t equal the future.
What do we mean by it?
It appears to be simple, but it took me a great deal of time to figure out the real meaning of this phrase.
In simple terms:
Whatever happened in the past won’t happen in the future.
Your image of yourself from the past doesn’t have to be the same one in your future.
For example, when I was a bit young, I had this view of myself as not meeting the perfect woman, not getting a great job, not deserving a great life …
However, when I started learning about this stuff, I changed that image to a blank one and it changed my life to the best.
Now, I know for sure what my future is going to be, with business people …
You have to make a clear mental vision of what you want now and in the future, this is the only way you will be able to achieve it.
Sit down in an empty room by yourself and write down what you want from this life, what type of woman you want, what car do you want to drive in the future… then you have to make a plane on how you are going to achieve it.
